NSW: 13 year old boy critical after hit and run

SYDNEY, Dec 24 AAP - A 13-year-old boy was critically injured after being struck down in a
hit-and-run accident in Sydney's west yesterday.

Police said the boy, from Mount Pritchard, suffered severe head injuries when he was run
down at Bobin Road, Sadleir, about 5 pm.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital, a police spokeswoman said.

A red two-door Honda Integra struck the boy as he crossed the road.

It then veered toward the gutter and struck a 15-year-old boy, who was not hurt.

A spokesman said the driver, described as being of Middle Eastern appearance with long dark
hair worn in a ponytail and wearing track pants and a singlet, had stopped momentarily.

The spokeswoman said no charges had been laid and police inquiries were continuing.
