ALBANY The name on his birth certificate is Scott William Hicks. It does not read Scott Hicks, The Man Who Replaced Doc Sauers.
Whenever Hicks' name is mentioned these days, invariably he will be linked and compared with Sauers, the legendary coach who was basketball at the University at Albany for 41 years.
``There is no way that I wouldn't expect that,'' Hicks said. ``Whenever I am asked how I compare to coach Sauers, I say I don't.''
`'That is something that will eventually pass,'' Sauers said. ``It's something that he can't worry about.''
