Qld: Ministers were not forced to meet business: Bligh
Queensland Premier ANNA BLIGH has slammed claims that business observers at Labor's
state conference were guaranteed meetings with ministers .. as wild and baseless.
The Australian newspaper has today published emails sent to ministers .. instructing
them on who they were to meet with at last year's conference.
One email .. from state secretary ANTHONY CHISHOLM's office .. says Deputy Premier
PAUL LUCAS must meet with sponsors.
Ms BLIGH has told ABC Radio the email came from a woman in the party office who coordinated
rosters and so on.
She says it's nonsense that an admin officer would be giving directions or instructions
to a minister.
