Fed: Rudd to be issued with his own climate report card

KEVIN RUDD will have his environmental homework set out for him in a new report card
from Greenpeace.

For an A grade .. the prime minister will have to meet a list of 10 tasks to address
climate change .. over his first term in government.

Greenpeace spokesman STEVE CAMPBELL says the first box has been ticked with the ratification
of the Kyoto protocol.

But he says for most of the climate change talks in Bali .. the government sat on the
fence over its support for up to 40 per cent emissions cuts.

Mr CAMPBELL says Mr RUDD talked the talk .. but failed to walk the walk.

He says a Greenpeace newspoll conducted last week showed 86 per cent of people want
binding greenhouse emission targets in place over the next three years.
